Listen. Clarify. Plan. Connect. Move forward.
Open Door Life is building around defined activities, measurable outputs and outcomes that can be documented over time.
Open Door Life was founded around a simple idea: difficult seasons should not define the rest of a person’s life.
Cynthia M. Franklin leads Open Door Life’s work to create supportive, practical pathways for people navigating emotional challenges and life transitions, with a focus on dignity, connection and forward movement.
Legal organization: Open Door Life & Mental Health Transition Coaching, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The organization’s measurement approach is intended to track meaningful progress in stability, connection, resilience, confidence and movement toward transition goals.
As programs grow, Open Door Life can document participation, support touchpoints, referrals, workshops, outreach and community engagement rather than relying only on anecdotal descriptions.
Activities can include non-clinical coaching, wellness education, outreach, community support and resource navigation. Program design should make it clear what participants actually receive.
People may enter transition carrying emotional strain, disruption, uncertainty or practical instability. The first step is clearly defining who a program is intended to support and what need it is designed to address.
Understand the person, the transition and what matters most right now.

03 PlanCreate a practical, realistic path forward.
04 ConnectLink people with appropriate resources and community support.
05 Move ForwardBuild momentum through accountability, reflection and continued support.
Some needs require resources beyond coaching. Open Door Life helps people identify relevant community services, professional resources and support networks when appropriate.
Setbacks can disrupt confidence, routines and stability. Open Door Life focuses on helping people regain direction, rebuild practical momentum and identify a workable path forward.
Practical tools can support self-awareness, resilience, healthier routines, boundaries and constructive next steps during emotionally demanding seasons.
Open Door Life’s role is non-clinical and designed to complement—not replace—licensed therapy, psychiatry, medical care or emergency services.
Support for people navigating major change, new responsibilities, grief, disruption, employment changes, family shifts, relocation, or a difficult next chapter.
The goal is to help identify priorities, strengths and realistic next steps without requiring someone to have everything figured out first.
